The algae form round balls, when it grow in lakes with waves. If it is turned from time to time, you can archive the same. I don't bother, and let it cover branches and the button. In the wild, it might only grow 5 mm a year, and it does not appreciate much nutrition. It turns out to grow significantly faster in aquariums! It form long and not least; fast growing threads, and can spread fast in a wine glass. I can't really recommend it, unless you have plenty of time to weed. No soil is needed! | |
