While Cabo Verde contains of ten islands, I
have chosen only to visit two - for now (San Antáo and Fogo might be worth a
visit too). And it is fare from those islands most tourists tend to
explore. I hope these will offer me a great insight to the varied nature,
scatted on the entire archipelago .
I have chosen to explore Santiago, which is the biggest island in
country, and where the capital; Praia, is located. Santiago offers the most
various nature and scenery, perfect for hiking and bird watching. There are
ruins and villages to explore, and the vegetation is green to desert. Due to flight
schedules, I spend one day in the capital without a car. The rest will be
car-supported tracking.
Sáo Nicolau is an unexploited island of Cape Verde, nearly no tourist but a lot
of charm. Sáo Nicolau is a friendly island with pretty villages, varied nature,
farming
and great natural scenery and deserts like I prefer.
I have found a few sights I want to see, but my main interest is the nature,
which is plentiful. I have a car to bring me out to some extensive tracking.
I had a week to find my way around Santiago, and eventually,
all roads are explored.

I had a week to find my way around Sao Nicolau. Again all roads are explored.
Some are not really roads, just gravel trails I have found on Google's satellite
photos. I hope I get a robust car... The white parts are NOT snow!
