At the first mention
in 1684, the stone was on Næraa
churchyard. It has been reused in the
churchyard embankment in 1780 and later
bricked church (most recently in 1938).

The stone is granite, 128
centimetres high, 76 centimetres wide.
It was erected in between 800 and 900.
The inscription
"ÞōrmundR. Niūt kumbls!".
Translated: Þormundr. Make good
use of the monument!
