The run stone was
discovered around 1600 by chancellor
Christian Friis, who on a journey
through Vordingborg accidentally saw it
in the city-customs wall-base. At some
point, it was moved to Rundetårn in
Copenhagen.

Somewhere in Vordingborg.
Present location: Nationalmuseet,
Frederiksholms Kanal 12, 1220 København
K.
The stone is
granite and 144 centimetres high, 60
centimetres wide and 46
centimetres thick. It was made around
800 to 950.
The inscription:
"Gærði ÞiūðvēR/Þiūðvī æft Aðīsl
..."
