This member of the Cactaceae family was described by William Jackson Hooker in 1848. It's from the north and central of Mexico. Well-drained soil, some
water and light shade to full sun. The stem (almost caudex) grows to
20 centimetres in diameter and it reaches for 80 centimetres. The flowers are yellow,
and it can also be reproduced by cuttings. |
