TECHNICAL CONSULTATION - Techniques to preserve biodiversity

 Unfortunately, many species are endangered around the world. Many will be extinct - if not all ready. Work might be done in situ or abroad. In any case, many techniques have been developed, and can be a huge factor in the re-establishing of the nature.
 HT1 can provide assistance with the eradication of invasive species - or at least restriction. We have experience with propagation from rare seeds, cuttings that normally don't root, meristem propagation in vitro and re-location of seedlings.

With the right treatment, a single leaf might be cloned to 1000s of tiny plants that can grow strong in sterile environment, and then be transferred to natural soil. When they are strong enough,  they can be re-introduced to their natural environment.
 Recently, we provided the needed knowledge to get a conservation nursery up and running on San Cristobal, The Galapagos. Further more, we supported the Charles Darwin Research Institute with propagating techniques.

 HT1 contribute with Pro Bono consultancy for:
The Charles Darwin Research Station,
BGCI; Botanic Gardens Conservation International,
IPNI;
International Plant Names Index,
Tropicos, SSN; Species Survival Network,
ARKive and
IUCN; International Union for Conservation of Nature.

 Seeing the plants in the wild give a good feeling of their needs, but surprisingly, different parameters might encourage the growth. Special equipment like aeroponics, fog-canons, heated beds, special soil, hormones and numerous other components can do the different.
 HT1 has a vide experience with plants from all over the world, both in culture and in the wild, and are eager to share this knowledge.
