This is a part of
a Carl Bloch's painting of the tomb from
1858.
Lars Hans Hansen discovered the
boulder, but have not visited it yet.
This big boulder of Vriestenen
is
found on the peninsular Refsnæs (Røsnæs),
where it is the top of an ancient tomb:
Raklev Vriedyssen, near Raklev in the
eastern part. The tomb dates back to
3950 - 2801 B.C. and have recently been
restored.
Location:
On a field, around 120 meters north of
Blomsterengen (Herredsåsen), across the
road from number 36. Blomsterengen 36,
4400 Raklevhøje, Denmark.

Meaning of the
name: Vrie is an old way to
spell "Vride": Twist or turn. Might be
caused from the tomb falling apart, as
it been exposed.
