
This big boulder of Svanholmsten,
also known as Ferslevstenen
is
found in a huge private garden/forest, north-east of Vejleby.
It have been partly excavated.

Size: 1,2
metres high, 4,2 metres wide and 5,8
meters long.
Meaning of the
name: It is named after the nearby
estate. Its name translate to "Swan
Islet".
Material:
Light gray, medium sized-grained
granite.

Legend: Once
upon a time, there was a sorceress lived
there. One day, when she sat outside her
mount and tense, she saw a ship coming
sailing. It was King Olav, who was on
the ship.
The sorceress shouted to King Olav:
"Listen you; Sct. Olav with your big
beard: You're sailing too close to my
basement wall ". The king answered her,
"And listen you; a bitch with your skirt
and ten: Where you sit, you will become
a rock." At the same time, the sorceress
was transformed into a rock and the hill
was divided into two, making a canal
where King Olav could sail through.
