This big boulder of Sagnstenen
Store Blis
is
found in some bushes along the lakeside
of Arresø, near Lille Lyngby. A little
trail leads down from Lille Lyngby,
although it was pretty overgrown when I
walked it in 2018.
Location:

Size: 1,8
metres high, 2,9 metres wide and 3,8
meters long. It is 10,8 metres in
circumference
Meaning of the
name: Big Blaze, which might refer
to the speckles of lichen on the
boulder.
Material:
Red medium-grained granite.
Origin:
Småland, Svenden.
Legend: It was
thrown by a troll from Annisse towards
the church of Lyngby.
It turns when it smell freshly baked
bread.
A troll was filling his bag with soil,
but avoided the rocks. That is how
Arresø was made, and Store Blis left.
