
This big boulder of Sneglesten
is
found way out on a field outside
Gundsømagle. It is part of a dolmen,
where it forms the roof. It is most
accessible from the little gravel
parking lot at Gundsømagle Parkvej,
opposite Fiskergårdsvej. From here, it
is 450 metres west-north-west, behind
the pond.

Size: 1,4
metres high, 2,0 metres wide and 3,2 meters
long. It is 9,9 metres in
circumference.
Meaning of the
name: I have not been able to find a
name for the dolmen, but when I visited
the sight, the boulder was covered in
hundreds of Grove snail ;Cepaea
nemoralis. I then took the liberty
to name it name it "Snailrock" in
Danish.
