Meaning of the
name: Money stone.
Material:
Gneiss
Origin: ?
Legend: One
can see the marks of Kullemandens arms
and teeth. The name derives from the
rumour that underneath the stone is
buried a treasure - probably one of
those "Mother Grib "has collected!
Whether it is simply unfounded rumours
are known not, but it is certain that
occasionally can be seen digging trail
around the stone from hopeful treasure
hunters.
Another explanation for the name is that
this was where the loggers got their
pay, from a colleague who had collected
money for his comrades.
