This big boulder of Øm 2 is found within a 5000 year old tomb, making part of the sealing. It can not be seen from outside, but the chamber is open to the public, and an experience to it self. Here are actually several massive boulders, and it made me wonder; how many my ancestors have hidden away from me!
These stones have not been given a name as fare as I can figure, and I just named them after the nearby village - and tomb. This is the boulder in the middle end of the tomb.
The tomb was discovered in 1832. The burial chamber is 7 meters long and 2 meters wide and 1,7 metres high, built of 15 uprights and 4 slabs and with an entrance of 7 pairs of uprights, of which only 3 innermost pair is covered. The burial chamber is covered by a mound of earth covered with scattered trees after a recent restoration.
