
This big boulder of Gunnars
Sten
was
found on a private lot, which have been
a gravel dig, years ago. The boulder was
buried in the gravel, but on the behest
of the owner; Gunner, it was raised up
nearby. I have named it after the owner
of the area, both at the time it was
excavated and when I visited it in 2018.
This big boulder have now been mowed to
an location near the Gudenåen in
Jutland.

Size: 4,1
metres high, 1,5 metres wide and 2,9 meters
long. It is 8,3 metres in
circumference. The weight is 32 tons.

name: Gunnar's Boulder.
Material:
Rough Småland granite.
Origin: It
originates from Småland in Sweden.
Legend: A
local stonecutter wanted it for a statue
of the Danish queen; Margrethe 2., for
her 50. reign anniversary, but was not
able to find the sufficient founding.
