Gneiss
Origin: ?
Legend: It is
completely worn hole in the middle
because Malle Musse Grethe through
hundreds of years have sat and rested on
the stone. Malle Musse Grethe is an
elf-girl, and she's very dangerous to
meet. It happened once for a groom from
one of the farms nearby. He was in the
bog and work with his horses, and it was
late, until he was finished. It was
twilight when he started to leave.
When he comes to the stone he meets the
beautiful girl he has ever seen. He'll
want to talk to her, yes, so much that
he let go his horses and let them stand
in the road as he walks toward the girl.
But for every step he takes, she moves a
step away from him. He is now absolutely
eager to get close to her and talk to
her, and he starts to run towards her.
However, the stronger he runs, the
stronger she runs. Inside the man's head
it too runs fast, so fast that he
eventually did not know who he is and
where he is.
The horses did not wait for the man.
They even went back to the farm, and
when they came home without servant,
people on the farm feared of what could
have happened to the servant and went
out to look for him. They looked most of
the night before they found the servant
who stood holding of an old hollow
willow tree, which he said a lot of
confused love to talk. The farm people
got, with difficulty, brought the
servant home to the farm, where he lay
sick for almost a year before he was
himself again. It takes a long time to
recover when you have been elf-struck!
