This big boulder of Firetønderstenen
is
found in the forest of Vinskoven near
Mørkøb. It is also known as
Brændevinsstenen and Vinstenen.

then a walk through the forest.

Meaning of the
name: Four barrows stone.
Material:
Gneiss
Origin: Most
likely Sweden.
Legend: There
are various other stories about this
stone name. One version involves the
lord after harvest delivered four
barrels of brandy to the local farmers.
Another version claims it was four
bushels of corn. Allegedly, the local
farmers gathered around the boulder to
have meetings - and drinking the local
brandy.
