This big boulder of Claus
Sten
is
found near Roskildevej right outside
Tune, where a little gravel road leads
east. It was found in the nearby gravel
dig, along with several other giants.
The boulder is almost cubical, but in a
diamond-like way, and I have measured on
the longest diagonal.
Location:
Roskildevej 64, 4030 Tune
- and then 25 meters south, across the
gravel road.
GPS: 55.603116, 12.161620 /
55°36'11.2"N 12°09'41.8"E
Size: 1,9
metres high, 2,0 metres wide and 3,1 meters
long. It is 8,1 metres in
circumference.
Meaning of the
name: As I have found no name, I
have taken the liberty to name it after
my friend, who told me about it; Claus
(and also because it is slightly
filiform):
Material:
Black granite - I think.
Origin: Then
it might be from Bornholm - although
unlikely.
Legend: None,
so far.
It is being swallowed
by the vegetation (2023)
Rather compact form.
My guess is black
granite.
