This big boulder of Avnsøgård
is
found next to the little gravelroad
Bjergsted Bakker, 55 meters from the
road Ringholm, close to the old church
Aunsø. Further out the road, eight more
boulders are found while excavating
gravel in the area. When I found it in
2019, it was completely covered in wild
roses, blackberries and stinging
nettles. Despite is is only a few meters
from the road, it is not visible due to
some big bushes. In 2021, the area was
cleaned and the boulder exposed.

Size: 1,1
metres high, 2,4 metres wide and 4,7 meters
long. The circumference is around 12
metres.
Meaning of the
name: It is named after the farm on
which land it is found. The farm is
named after the nearby lake.
Material:
Granite; 55% light reddish Alkali
feldspar, 20% greyish Plagioclase, 20%
dark gray Quartz and 5% black Biotite.
