This member of the Didieraceae family was dscribed by Baill. in 1880. It is found om Madagascar, growing all year in well-drained soil with some water and some sun. It will reach 6 or even 9 meters in height, and it can be reproduced by seeds and quiet difficult by cuttings. The flowers are light greenish brown.
