This member of the Asphodelaceae
family was described by J. Decorse & Poisson in 1912. It is found in
the southern province of Madagascar: Toliara, growing in limestone
or other well drained soil with some water and lots of sun. It will
reach three meters in height. The flowers are bright red.
Former a member of the Aloaceae and the Liliaceae families.
