This member of the
Cactaceae family was described by Friedrich Ritter in 1964. It is
found at height altitude (1500-2400 meters) in Peru, growing in grit
with little water and lots of sun. The columns will grow up to 90 centimetres
in height and eight centimetres in diameter. The rare flowers are
white to pale pink. |
