This member of the Fabaceae family was described by
Carl Linnaeus in 1753 (and many others since...). It is found in
the southern part of North America and Mexico, growing in well
drained soil with some water and some to lots of sun. It can grow to
three meters height, and the stem can get 35 centimetres in diameter.
The flowers are red. |
