This member of the Fabaceae was
given this name
by René Paul Raymond Capuron
in 1968. It is found on
Madagascar, growing in a well drained soil with some water and lots of
sun. The flowers are white over yellow to pink, and it will
grow to three to twelve meters and the stem can get 70 centimetres in
diameter.
The genera name from Greek
delos; 'evident' or 'conspicious' and Greek onyx; 'claw'
for the long claw of the petals. The species named for its many
flowers. |
