This national botanical garden in
Chile is only worth the visit, if you are in town.
It is located right
outside Valparaiso, in a huge valley. I visited in 2012.
It is mainly
dedicated to trees like these Chilean palm trees.; Jubaea chilensis
Some parts have endemic plants from
remote islands, requiring a special climate
The nursery was closed when I visited
the BG
The cacti house is large, and have
quite some cacti from around Chile
A few shallow lakes
The un-sheltered cacti bed
Pretty flowers have their area
A house for the humid-loving plants |
