- | This member of the Rubiaceae family
was given this name by Theodoric Valeton in 1927. It is found in western Papua
New Guinea, growing as an
epiphyte with lots of water and some sun. The caudex can grow to five centimetres in diameter, the entire plant
to 60 centimetres in height - or low. It is strangely enough hanging in a root,
up to 50 centimetres long. The flowers are white with blue-black flecks.
The genera name means 'ant head'. The
species name means 'narrow leaved'.
