Euphorbiaceae family
was given this name by Thomas Haevermans and Wilbert Leonard Anna
Hetterscheid in 2021. It is found in the central Madagascar, growing in a well drained soil
or gravel with some water and some sun. The caudex can grow to
six centimetres in diameter, the entire plant
to 20 centimetres in height. The flowers are white.
The genera is named after
Euphorbos, the Greek physician of King Juba II of Numidia. The
species is named after the collector; Jürgen Spannring, a dedicated
plant enthusiast and Madagascar resident, who discovered this new
species in the wild.. |
