given this name by Susan Carter in 1996. It is found in Zambia and
maybe Tanzania, growing in a well
drained soil or even grit with some water and lots of sun. The caudex

centimetres long. The inflorescence with the coral-pink flowers can
reach 90 centimetres.
The genera name is the ancient
Greek and Latin name. The species name means 'fringed'.
