This member of the
Hyacinthaceae family was given this name by Henry Phillips in
1935. It is found in Botswana, Namibia and South Africa, growing in a well
drained soil with some water and lots of sun. The bulb will grow to
15 centimetres in diameter, and the plant will raise to 60
centimetres. The flowers are white and occurs around Christmas which
name means 'false Galtonia' another member of the family. The
species name means 'club-shaped'.
