This member of the Euphorbiaceae
was given this name by Susan carter in 2000. It is found in Tamil Nadu,
Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka in the southern half of India, growing in a well drained soil with
some water and lots of sun. The caudex can grow to five centimetres in diameter,
20 centimetres long, the entire plant
to eight centimetres in height. The flowers are yellowish.
The genera is named after
Euphorbos, the Greek physician of King Juba II of Numidia. The
species is named after Meena Singh, an Indian collector and author, who
found this plant.
