This member of the Euphorbiaceae
family
was given this name by Susan Carter in 1990. It is found outside Ely in
eastern Somalia, growing in a well drained limestone soil with
some water and lots of sun. The caudex can grow to three centimetres in diameter, the entire plant
to 1,5 centimetres in height. The flowers are white.
The genera is named after
Euphorbos, the Greek physician of King Juba II of Numidia. The
species is named from adeno; 'gland' and chila;
'funnel-shaped'. |
