This member of the Burseraceae family was given this name by Heinrich Gustav Adolf  Engler in 1894. It is found in Namibia, and I GUESS it will prefer a well drained soil with some water and lots of sun. I THINK the stem can grow to 15 or even 20 centimetres in diameter and reach one and a half meters. The flowers are greenish white.

The genera name from Greek kommi; 'gum' and Greek -phoros; 'carrying' for the balsam-like scented resin. The species name means 'sweet' or 'pleasant'.

Please, if you can add any information.
