DOWN HOUSE GARDEN, England
Other Gardens, Collections and Nurseries

This is not really a botanical garden, but I do find it interesting.
I had not thought at it as such, but it turned out to be an almost pilgrims experience, to walk through it. I've seen the places where Jesus and Buddha is said to have been borne, but this one really touched me: The birthplace of evolution! Down house is where Charles Darwin lived all his adult life, and where he wrote On the Origin of the Species. I visited in 2016.
