This member of the Cucurbitaceae family was given this name by Otto
Wilhelm Sonder. It's from
South Africa. Give it a well-drained soil, some water and sun, and the
caudex will grow to 20 centimetres in diameter and the vines to more
then 3 meters. The flowers are yellow and it is a monoecious plant. I
got some seeds from Wichlow, Ireland in 2003
