This member of the
Polygonaceae family was given this name by Tanja Schuster
and James Lauritz Reveal in
2015. It is found
in Yanna of China, growing in a rich soil with
some water and some to lots of sun. The caudex can grow to
twenty
centimetres in diameter, the entire plant to ten metres or more in
height. The
flowers are white. The
genera name from Latin ptero; 'winged' and Latin oxzgonum;
'sharp-angled'. The species name means 'finely toothed'. |
