Cucurbitaceae
family
was given this name by Monique Keraudren in 1967. It is found in Madagascar's
limestone areas, growing in a well drained soil with some water and not
that much sun. The caudex might grow to four centimetres in diameter, the entire plant
to 50 centimetres in height. The flowers are brownish-yellow.
The genera is named after A. Seyrig,
a French entomologist. The species is named after Julien Marnier-Lapostolle,
1902-1976, a French explorer botanist. |
