Habitat photo by Robert
This member of the Peperomiaceae family was
given this name by Karl Sigismund Kunth in 1815. It is found in
northern Peru, growing in the rich soil in rock cracks, but will
require a rather drained soil in culture. Quite some water and
little to some sun. The caudex can grow to four and a half
centimetre or more while the leaves up to five centimetre.
The flowers are greenish white.
