This member of the Geraniaceae family was given this name by Eduard Fenzl in 1842. It is found in Armenia and Turkey (and between?), growing in a well drained soil like grit with some water and some to lots of sun. The caudex might disappear by age, the entire plant to 30 or even 50 centimetres in height. The flowers are Dark pink.

Named in honour of Stephan Friedrich Ladislaus Endlicher (1804-1849).
