This little member of the Hyacinthaceae family was given this name by
Winsome Fanny Barker in 1987. It is found
in Bitterfontein in the north-western part of the Cape Province of South Africa, growing in a well drained soil with
some water and lots of sun. The caudex can grow to two
centimetres in diameter, the entire plant to four centimetres in
flowers are white.
