Joseph Dalton Hooker in 1868. It is found
in central Ethiopia, growing in a rich soil with
lots of water and some sun. The caudex can grow to seven
centimetres in diameter, the entire plant to 100 centimetres in

The genera name means
'impatience', referring to the fruits which pops when ripe and
touched. The species is named after Albrecht
Wilhelm Roth, 1757-1834, a German botanist. |
