was given this name by Charles Jacques …douard Morren in 1845. It is found in eastern Brazil, growing in a well drained but rich soil with
quite some water and little to some sun. The bulb can grow to five centimetres in diameter, the entire plant
to 25 centimetres in height. The flowers are bluish-purple, fading to white.
