This member of the Euphorbiaceae
family
was given this name by Nicholas Edward Brown in 1925. It is found in southern
Namibia and western South Africa, growing in a well drained soil with
some water and lots of sun. The caudex can grow to ten centimetres in diameter, the entire plant
to eight centimetres in height. The flowers are green.
The genera is named after
Euphorbos, the Greek physician of King Juba II of Numidia. The
species is named from Latin; inorate; 'lacking adornment' for
the uniform colour of the plant. |
